FAQ
Questions frequently asked about this webcomic...
Q- Why doesn't this webcomic use the typical navigation arrows used in most webcomics?
A- That format works best for individual comics that are not ongoing. Since this comic features a new story each month, I thought it was better to use a format that felt slightly more like a comic book.
Q- How often does a new comic get added?
A- I feature a new "episode" each month. Each episode is made up of roughly 12 pages, so I usually add a page to the monthly episode nearly every other day. There is no set schedule, so check back often!
Q- Why does Dino Boy quote famous people all the time?
A- DB is very intelligent and very well read. He wants to use his knowledge to help promote peace, but the fact that he looks like a monster works against his cause. However, if he reveals that his opinions are the same as a famous writer, martyr, philosopher, etc, then perhaps his audience will be more likely to agree with him.
Q- How many episodes do you plan to make?
A- As long as people continue to come to this site and enjoy the series, I could continue this comic indefinitely.
Q- You take on a new social or political issue every month. Will you ever do a comic about [insert random social issue]?
A- If there's a certain issue that you'd like to see DB take on in the future, feel free to email me. If I get enough requests for a certain topic, I might be swayed to write something (if I don't already plan to tackle that issue soon).
Q- If the villains represent problems in society, what does Dino Boy represent? Why is a Dinosaur the solution to these problems?
A- Dinosaurs obviously aren't the answer, but as a dinosaur, DB represents a pure world uncorrupted by man. Conversely, the Monkey represents the rise of the evils of man.
Q- Did you create all of the characters in the story?
A- I designed every character except one. When I was trying to come up with a design for Talon, a friend of mine showed me a drawing of an idea they had for a character. I modified this design, and then gave the character a name and background.
Q- Sometimes you use a lot of metaphors to get your messages across, and sometimes you blatantly spell out the metaphors and say the messages out loud. Why?
A- Sometimes I'll decide that some messages are important enough to just spell out. Other times I'll decide to be vague. However, if you prefer metaphors and hidden messages, there's tons of metaphors going on throughout the story that really won't become apparent for some time.
